LINCOLN SQUARE SYNAGOGUE - New York, NY

Winston Consultants acted as Owner’s Representative for the construction of the 60,000 SF Lincoln Square Synagogue, which was built at a total cost of over $48 million.  The ground-up construction project involved the creation of two sanctuaries, along with classrooms, office space, daycare areas, two commercial kitchens, a ballroom and event space, two rooftop play areas, and various community facilities.  The project was designed by CETRA RUDDY ARCHITECTURE and involved the construction of a complex curtain wall involving five horizontal tiers of undulating glass.  The main Sanctuary features a 30 foot high ceiling and contains a total of 613 individual lights, each representing a mitzvah, or good deed.  The project also involved the installation of a state of the art audio visual system and ultramodern building systems.  The project involved coordination of the interests of numerous stakeholders from the synagogue and congregation, as well as from the local community.
